I ordered these because I have been trying to prepare meals ahead and reduce food waste by freezing leftovers and more. They are a great size for me because I don’t have a huge appetite. I had gastric bypass surgery in 2002 and even though it has been more than 20 years I still can’t eat as much as most people. Last night I used them for the first time. I’m a bubbler and I was out of anything to snack on. I had some Nestle atoll House Chocolate Chip Cookie dough in my refrigerator and I decided to bake them. I also had a couple of packs of Betty Crocker Tripple Berry Muffin mix. What I didn’t have however was a cupcake/muffin pan. I decided to use these tins and I baked a double batch of muffins in these tins. They worked out really well. I was quite pleased with my loaves perfectly sized for one person.I put part of them in a ziplock bag to pull out today and tomorrow. The rest I wrapped tightly with foil, labeled with the date and put them in my freezer. I was glad I had them contained in these Tina because while the muffins were delicious they were also very crumbly. It made eating one for breakfast this morning a little easier and a good bit less messy as I was able to eat them right from the container with a fork.I plan to use them to freeze single portions of things like macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes among other things. I reacently got a pack of 50 Bento Boxes with 2 sections. I’ve mainly been using one section for meat and the other for vegetables. By using these for the carbohydrates it is now very simple for me to heat up as well rounded meal. I lost my husband of nearly 34 years in March of 2024. Trying to cook for one person is not as easy as it sounds. I don’t enjoy eating the same thing for several days in a row and I can’t afford to throw food away. Thanks to my bento boxes and these cute little pink pans my food budget will stretch much better. I’m so glad to have them and I know I will likely use them both to freeze leftovers or to pull out the things I freeze in a perfect sized container for my appetite.
