Chinese Salt (Ajinomoto), an additive food taste enhancer is a synthetic chemical known as monosodium glutamate, developed by a Japanese Firm named Ajinomoto Corp. Previously only Chinese packaged food and Chinese restaurants were using this food enhancer but now even packaged Indian food lndustries are increasingly using this chemical. It enhances taste through inflammation of our taste buds and is an excitatory neurotransmitter.
